They really do say y'all in the South...

Towards the end of June, Olivia and I went to South Carolina to see my family. There is really no direct way to get to Sumter, SC so we ended up having 3 layovers.  Even though Olivia was an angel and did not make a peep on any of the planes, I don't think I will ever travel without Zach again. A week was too long to be apart and the traveling was exhausting, to say the least. However, once we got there we had a blast from the get go. I was able to meet my nephew for the first time. He was absolutely adorable. I am a pretty lucky aunt. My parents spoiled us with delicious food, shopping, and AC! It was also really special to be there because we were able to see my dad take over command of a squadron on the Air Force Base. It was a great ceremony and I am really proud of my dad. Overall, it was a great trip. I'll let the rest of the story be told in photographs.

4th of July

Our 4th of July was great!
We took naps, went to the Rexburg parade,
played scrabble, ate delicious food, and
spent the whole day as a family
of 3
It really doesn't get any
better than that.

We are grateful for this wonderful country we live in
and for the great men and women
especially our dads
that serve to keep this country so great.

At 3 Months....

Olivia loves to

talk all the time
squeal with excitement
sleep on her side
play with toys
try and sit up
try to hold her own bottle
give big smiles
make lots and lots of bubbles
laugh when daddy gives her raspberries
hold on to shirts, hair, faces, necklaces, basically anything
pull her blanket up over her face
go swimming
be outside
have her tummy tickled

We love this little girl so much
she makes us so happy
It is so exciting for us to watch
all of these first experiences for her
we look forward to many, many more wonderful ones
